The European Festival of Journalism and Media Literacy, Voices, gathers journalists and media experts for interactive panel discussions, workshops, exhibitions, and networking events, fostering dialogue on contemporary challenges in the media landscape. For the first time, this event was open to applicants from EU candidate and potential candidate countries. The event and award ceremony were organized by the Centre for Media Pluralism and Media Freedom, European Federation of Journalists (EFJ), EBU, EAVI, as well as organizations such as Lie Detectors, Savoir Devenir, and Journalisme et Citoyenneté.

Voices Festival 2025, a European event dedicated to empowering journalists, aims to reshape society’s approach to information. By discussing the evolution of journalism in a dynamic media environment and equipping citizens with critical thinking tools, the festival creates a space for journalists, media professionals, students, and all those interested in media literacy.

The first event was held in Florence in 2024, attracting over 1,300 participants who engaged in topics such as artificial intelligence in journalism, disinformation, journalist safety, media economic challenges, and election integrity.
