In accordance with the strategic goal of CINS to improve two-way communication with its audience, CINS announces a call for the position of community relations editor who will be the first line between the editorial office and the community, that is, CINS’s audience.
This job includes:
Knowledge of CINS texts,
Continuous collection and analysis of data on the audience and performance of CINS texts and creation of recommendations in accordance with that data,
Participation in the creation of communication and other strategies and plans with the aim of building a better relationship with the audience,
Work on raising the visibility of the CINS brand and editorial work,
Designing (with a designer) the appearance of the site and other communication channels,
Raising and monitoring the impact of CINS work,
Identifying stories of importance to the CINS audience in collaboration with the Editor-in-Chief,
Helping the editor-in-chief in shaping the topics and monitoring the work on the stories of the journalist team,
Working with the editorial staff and other members of the organization to build a community of readers,
With the Communication Manager, designing the promotion of CINS content,
Representing CINS at events as a speaker, moderator or participant,
and others in accordance with the job description.
All the above tasks are carried out with intensive cooperation with the Communication Manager (Community manager), editor-in-chief and other team members.
Conditions:
Three or more years of experience working in journalism as a journalist or editor,
Knowledge of the work of investigative media in Serbia, primarily CINS,
Advanced analytical skills,
Experience in using social networks and email marketing to increase visibility,
Experience in communication with the public,
Good communication skills and strong empathy,
Ability to simultaneously work on multiple complex projects with dynamic changes,
Strong organizational skills and experience working independently,
Advanced knowledge of the Serbian and English language,
Interest in learning and additional professional development,
Commitment to teamwork and the progress of the whole team.
A lack of certain experiences and skills is not a reason for automatic disqualification.
We support initiatives, proposals and a creative approach to communication. We expect the Engagement editor to follow and understand trends on the networks, and we offer the opportunity of improvement in this area through various trainings and team support.
Due to the nature of the job, the editor’s working hours are flexible (within 40 working hours per week), based in the office in Belgrade.
