As you know, CINS is largely funded by donations, which are transparently displayed on our website<\/a>. We identified this fundraising method 17 years ago as the best way to publish stories in the public interest without charging for content.<\/p>

We settle for nothing less than the highest quality and choose only topics that matter to you.<\/p>

Why is CINS important?<\/strong><\/p>

CINS is a small team consisting of 11 people. Our readers, our colleagues, and the expert community in Serbia and beyond have recognized our professional approach and dedication.<\/p>

We have received over 40 awards and recognitions, including the prestigious European Press Prize (\u201cEuropean Pulitzer\u201d). Our story about SNS\u2019s call center<\/a> (where we infiltrated the center to uncover how this system functions from the inside) brought us multiple awards for investigative and ethical journalism, but the most cherished recognition is the audience award, which came from you.<\/p>

We wrote about how a document was issued to Rio Tinto<\/a> without expert approval, about Minister \u0110ur\u0111evi\u0107 Stamenkovski’s diploma, as well as NBS Governor Jorgovanka Tabakovi\u0107\u2019s plagiarized PhD thesis.<\/p>

We have investigated obstetric violence and femicide in Serbia, \u017deljko Mitrovi\u0107\u2019s unpaid taxes, and the expensive Paja Jovanovi\u0107 painting that a city official tried to bring into Serbia without reporting it.<\/p>

Through our unique investigative podcast form, we have covered the mass murders in Ribnikar, Dubona, and Mali Ora\u0161je, created a video game about the abuse of citizens’ money, and enabled you to look into the finances of political parties.<\/p>
