{"id":19752,"date":"2017-12-18T19:51:00","date_gmt":"2017-12-18T17:51:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/127.0.0.1\/cins-among-the-awardees-for-environment-reporting\/"},"modified":"2019-09-03T18:00:35","modified_gmt":"2019-09-03T16:00:35","slug":"cins-among-the-awardees-for-environment-reporting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.cins.rs\/en\/cins-among-the-awardees-for-environment-reporting\/","title":{"rendered":"CINS among the awardees for environment reporting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>\n\tJournalists\u2019 awards for reporting about the topics covering environment protection and sustainable development were announced today within the <em>Project of Civil Society Support in Serbia<\/em> in the field of the environment (<em>CSOnnect<\/em>) organized by <em>Regional Center for the Environment in Eastern and Central Europe<\/em> (REC). <br \/>\n\t<br \/>\n\tSecond award in the investigative reporting category was given to<strong> Milica Stojanovi\u0107<\/strong> i <strong>Dragana Prica<\/strong>, a journalist and associate of <em>Center for Investigative Reporting of Serbia<\/em> (CINS) for a story that coveres problems in the construction process in the regional landfill in Novi Sad.<br \/>\n\t<br \/>\n\tInvestigation point out that even thou the Town assembly adopted the Regional waste management plan which envisaged the construction of the landfill six years ago, to the present date only a few documents have been adopted, at the cost of 6.5 million RSD. The construction works have not yet started.<br \/>\n\t<br \/>\n\tThe new landfill, that is, the regional centre, should also resolve the issues such as storing of waste at inadequate official landfills, and forming of illegal dumps.
