Milica \u0160ari\u0107 has been working as an investigative journalist and fact-checker since 2012, while she became Editor-in-Chief of the Center for Investigative Journalism of Serbia in 2018. Since August 2022, she is the director of the Foundation that publishes CINS. She won the EU award for best young investigative journalist in Serbia in 2017, and with the CINS team won the prestigious 2017 European Press Prize for investigative journalism, for a series of articles on the failed fight against corruption in Serbia, as well as the WJP Anthony Lewis Prize for Exceptional Rule of Law Journalism and Du\u0161an Bogavac award for ethics and courage. As a fact-checker she cooperated with the international reporting network OCCRP, and as an external associate she contributes to the Poynter International Fact-Checking Network. She is an Advisory Board member at the Journalismfund Europe.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Longtime investigative journalist Dina \u0110or\u0111evi\u0107 has been the editor-in-chief of CINS since October 2025.<\/p>\n

Since 2023, she has been a member of The Oxford Climate Journalism Network \u2013 a network of journalists and editors from around the globe who have undergone a six-month training program on climate change reporting at the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism at the University of Oxford. In 2022, Dina was awarded a scholarship within the Fulbright Program for journalists, during which she spent two weeks training in the United States. She was a participant of a regional program for journalistic excellence in 2019 \u2013 the Balkan Fellowship for Journalistic Excellence within the Balkan Investigative Reporting Network (BIRN).<\/p>\n

Over the course of her career, Dina has mostly worked on stories about the environment, aviation, energy and the arms industry.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

While pursuing academic studies in London, Vladimir collaborates with CINS as a journalist and editor. As editor-in-chief, Vladimir led the CINS newsroom from August 2022 to October 2025. Previously, since 2020, Vladimir worked as the “fast content” editor on the CINS website, which encompasses most of the news, analyses and other stories in the NEWS section. Vladimir previously worked as a journalist and deputy editor at CINS for eight years. With his coworkers, Vladimir won two National Awards for Excellence in Investigative Journalism, the 2017 European Press Prize, the WJP Anthony Lewis Prize for Exceptional Rule of Law Journalism, a Balkan Fact-Checking Award, the EU award for investigative journalism in Serbia in 2019, and other accolades.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Stefan Markovi\u0107 joined CINS’s investigative team in February 2020. He is a journalist, scriptwriter, and narrator for CINS’s “Glasna \u017eica” and “Tragovi,” the first narrative and investigative podcasts in Serbia.<\/p>\n

He was part of the team that won CINS\u2019s second EU award for investigative journalism in 2023, and the special recognition award under “Dejan Anastasijevi\u0107” award for investigative journalism in 2024, for the podcast series “Tragovi” season “Evil Hour”, covering the two massacres that shook Serbia in 2023.<\/p>\n

As a journalist, he also participated in a cross-border project, covering stories about donations from the Hungarian government to the Carpathian region. Before joining CINS, he worked at Ju\u017ene Vesti in Ni\u0161.<\/p>\n

He teaches investigative journalism skills. He is the author of the novel “Pokojnik drugog reda” (Laguna, 2022).<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Jovana Nikoli\u0107 (ex Tomi\u0107) has been with CINS since the start of 2020. Having covered current events for several years, she is now part of the podcast team, where she works on the “Glasna \u017eica” and “Tragovi” podcasts, at the same time first narrative and investigative podcasts in Serbia. Before her appointment at CINS, she worked at the online editorial office of the daily newspaper Danas for two years. She graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences and attended CINS’s School of Investigative Journalism. Ivana Milosavljevic<\/h2>

Ivana Milosavljevi\u0107 joined CINS as an intern in March 2022, after which she joined the communications team, and since April 2023, she has held the positions of journalist and fact-checker. Her research focuses on the financing of political parties and the media. Ahead of the December 2023 elections, Ivana did an undercover<\/em> investigation on voter manipulation, vote buying, and the non-transparent financing of the ruling party. For this investigation, Ivana received the 2024 Ethical Journalism Award presented by Article19 and the third \u201cDejan Anastasijevi\u0107\u201d award for investigative journalism, as well as the audience award. Zoomer presented her with the Most Prominent Young Journalist Award in 2023. For a series of articles on political party financing, she and her colleagues won the second EU Investigative Journalism Award in 2023.<\/p>\n

Ivana is a senior journalism student at the Faculty of Political Sciences, as well as a media literacy coach.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Although he graduated in journalism from the Faculty of Political Sciences, Zoran did not practice this profession outside of student internships. He has been involved in marketing, digital marketing, graphic design and photography for a decade. He spent most of his professional career in leading publishing houses and the Association of Publishers and Booksellers of Serbia, after which he became a project manager in a company that operates in 13 markets.<\/span><\/p>\n

He joined CINS in September 2023 and took the head position in the newly formed audience team. He is responsible for all communication and content on CINS <\/span>accounts on social networks and other communication channels, content creation and promotion.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

An\u0111ela Jovanovi\u0107 was appointed Community Manager as part of CINS\u2019s Audience Team in April 2024. Her responsibilities include promoting CINS’s work on social media and audience engagement.<\/p>\n

She graduated in journalism in Novi Sad. She also works as a collaborator for the fact-checking portal “FakeNews Traga\u010d.” An\u0111ela is a certified podcast and storytelling coach specializing in LGBTQ+ stories.<\/p>\n

Nina joined the CINS team in December 2024 to produce video content, with the support of the Friedrich-Naumann-Stiftung f\u00fcr die Freiheit. Previously she had five years of experience in the digital newsroom of the daily newspaper Danas. Primarily interested in social issues, she excels in topics related to justice, crime and corruption, police, and the military. In recent years, she reported on public interest trials, and created content for social media, while developing the TikTok community in her former newsroom (all aspects of content creation, from topic selection to filming and editing). She took part in various journalism education programs, such as the Academy of Journalism at the Belgrade Open School, the Digital Journalism School of the Slavko \u0106uruvija Foundation, and CINS’s public procurement training. She graduated from the \u0160abac Gymnasium and is a student at the Faculty of Political Sciences, University of Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Maja joined the CINS team in October 2025 as a current affairs journalist. Previously, she worked in the newsrooms of Insajder Television and Euronews Serbia as a field reporter, studio journalist, journalist for documentary programs, and assistant editor for the website. She has reported on numerous protests, election cycles, and thematically broad daily events. She is interested in domestic politics and human rights issues, and in recent years has regularly reported from sessions of the National Assembly of Serbia. She also worked as a social media content creator as part of the communications team at BIRN Serbia. She graduated in journalism from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Belgrade.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n

Dalibor Milojkovi\u0107 has been the finance and administrative manager at CINS since January 2023. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering and has over 15 years of experience in finance and administration.<\/p>\n

Dalibor specializes in overseeing key financial operations such as financial reporting, budget creation, monitoring, and implementation of organizational and project-based budgets, as well as financial regulatory compliance and tax compliance.<\/p>\n

Before joining CINS, Dalibor gained experience at Ju\u017ene Vesti, where he was involved in administrative management, financial reporting, budget proposal creation, and project activity coordination.<\/p>\n

Dalibor has honed his skills through training, such as Teamwork and Decision Making (2006) and Change Management (2007) at Adizes Southeast Europe. USAID’s training in 2012 enhanced his understanding of management, media marketing, and sales fundamentals, while ANEM’s training in 2014 enriched his knowledge of writing project proposals.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Maja Vasic-Nikolic<\/h2>

Maja Vasi\u0107-Nikoli\u0107 started her 4-year term on the Management Board of CINS on June 5, 2023, and has been chairing the Board ever since. Maja was elected on the joint proposal of CINS employees, in accordance with the Statute.<\/p>\n

Born in Belgrade in 1976, Maja gained her first work experience in 2000 in Great Britain at Amnesty International, where she volunteered for a year. After that, she worked as a translator, researcher, and journalist on the production of the documentary series The Fall of Milo\u0161evi\u0107. After that, she worked in London as an English language teacher and training coordinator in a private company that deals with strengthening the internal capacities of organizations and became active again in the production of documentary films from 2004 to 2006. After returning to Serbia, in 2006, she became a project manager of the Independent Association of Journalists of Serbia (NUNS) and the Media Center. From 2008, she worked only for NUNS, as a project manager and a project team coordinator. She dealt with the development and implementation of projects and the strategic plan of the Association, as well as public advocacy. Since 2019, she was a freelancer, working with NUNS on the SafeJournalists.Net project and as an expert\/trainer for media literacy and monitoring and evaluation. She has not been active in NUNS since April 2021. Today, she is engaged in projects related to media literacy, and provides professional assistance concerning strategic planning, monitoring and evaluation. She also works at the Thomson Foundation as a Coordinator for Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning for Central and Southeastern Europe.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Semir Mujkic<\/h2>

Semir Mujki\u0107 started his 4-year term on the Management Board of CINS on June 5, 2023, and was appointed vice president of the Board. Semir was elected on the joint proposal of CINS employees, in accordance with the Statute.<\/p>\n

Semir Mujki\u0107 is the editor of BIRN Bosnia and Herzegovina. He joined BIRN in April 2017 as a journalist and then worked as a deputy editor. He has been the editor since October 2019.<\/p>\n

He is the winner of two EU awards for investigative journalism in 2019 and 2020; awards for the best multimedia investigation of corruption of the Anticorruption Network in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2018; UNICEF recognition for his contribution to the promotion of children’s rights in 2016.<\/p>\n

He led the BIRN BiH team in a period when the media won more than ten domestic and international awards, including the Special European Press Prize in 2020 for “efforts and success in securing justice for victims of war crimes” as well as the international Fetisov award. Other awards or nominations include the SEEMO, Kurt Schork, One World Media Award and Thomson Foundation awards.<\/p>\n

Previously, he worked as a journalist for the magazine \u017durnal and the biweekly magazine Start.<\/p>\n

He graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences in Sarajevo, Department of Journalism.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Oliver Rivers<\/h2>

Oliver Rivers began his 4-year term on the CINS Management Board on June 5, 2023, and was elected on the joint proposal of CINS employees, in accordance with the Statute.<\/p>\n

Based in London, Oliver Rivers joined the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project (OCCRP) in 2021 as chief financial officer (CFO) and became chief operating officer (COO) in May 2022.<\/p>\n

Prior to joining OCCRP, Oliver was managing director of Doc Society, an organization that supports documentary filmmakers worldwide.<\/p>\n

He has also worked as a strategy consultant and advised and invested in early-stage businesses.<\/p>\n

He holds an MBA from London Business School.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Bojana Selakovic<\/h2>

Bojana Selakovi\u0107 began her 4-year term on the CINS Management Board on June 5, 2023, and was elected on the joint proposal of CINS employees, in accordance with the Statute.<\/p>\n

Currently, Bojana is the coordinator of the National Convention on the EU, a network that gathers hundreds of civil society organizations dedicated to the European integration of Serbia.<\/p>\n

In the period 2013-2022, she worked in Civic Initiatives in the positions of public policy program manager, acting executive director and program director. She dealt with commercial law and entrepreneurship and has been active in the civil sector since 2001, with minor breaks.<\/p>\n

Initiated and participated in dozens of awareness-raising and public advocacy campaigns at the national and local level. She managed projects aimed at strengthening the activism of citizens, legal support for activists and strengthening the capacities of the civil sector.<\/p>\n

The topics that interest her range from the fight against discrimination, violence and corruption to the rights of minority groups and children’s rights to the reform of public policies and citizen participation.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Zeljko Bodrozic<\/h2>

\u017deljko Bodro\u017ei\u0107 began his term on the CINS Management Board on June 5, 2023, and was elected at the proposal of the founder, in accordance with the Statute.<\/p>\n

\u017deljko (born in 1970) is a journalist and editor-in-chief of the weekly Kikindske, and the current President of NUNS.<\/p>\n

He started his journalism career in 1991. During the 1990s, he had worked in several local media (TV KI, Ki-press, Kikindske novosti, RTV VK). In October 1998, along with a group of younger journalists from Kikinda and its local environment, he had launched the weekly Kikindske, both in Serbian and Hungarian. By the end of the 1990s and the beginning of the 2000s, he was sentenced and fined for his articles several times.<\/p>\n

He is the first journalist from Serbia who has won a dispute against the state before the UN Human Rights Committee in New York (in 2005), and two disputes before the European Court in Strasbourg (2009). He wrote for the following papers: Nasa borba, Blic, Dnevnik, Danas, Vreme, Bulevar, Novi magazin, Republika, Status, Pescanik and E-novine. In 2001 he won a journalist reward \u201cDusan Bogavac\u201d.<\/p>\n

He was a member of the IJAS\/NUNS Executive Board for three terms and since 2014 he was a Vice President of the Association. He lives in Kikinda, in the north of Serbia.<\/p>\n\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>"},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
